Aircraft Twirls Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known California Beach
A helicopter flying over a well-attended California shoreline abruptly began spiraling wildly, ultimately dropping height and smashing into a line of palm trees as beachgoers looked on.
Footage shared online depict the chopper beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then falling towards the perimeter of the beach, where it gets stuck between palm trees and a set of stairs close to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the incident on the weekend.
Three individuals on the street were injured. Information on their wounds were still under review.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
